Encounters One of the major perks of being a Pats Fan living in New England is the ability to attend various events and catch the boys in person. (Of course, I often run into them in local stores and establishments but usually admire from afar so as not to intrude on their personal lives...unless they recognize me and say hi first in which case I reciprocate. Of course, a smile or a subtle hello is also acceptable in public but I would NEVER whip out the Sharpie and request an autograph when they are out and about.) It also helps
that I can identify just about every player by sight... just ask my road trek
crew who were amazed when I named every player in the hotel dressed in plain
clothes, right down to the special teamers.... just call me the 'Walking
Media Guide"..... With that being said .... there ARE some great places to get autographs and take pictures. Training Camp is the absolute best place for quality encounters. Since I don't work summers, I am quite spoiled because I can go every day. Be sure to check out my Patriots Photo Gallery and TotallyTedy Photo Gallery for photographic evidence of my claim! I also attend local sports radio shows featuring Patriots players as guests. Every Monday night I can be found at the 790TheScore shows. Most weeks I'll hit the WHJJ Monday Night Football Show. at the Warwick Mall too. Of course, card shows are not out of the question either... although paying for an autograph is not something that I do often. My family room walls are covered with autographed pictures of some of my various encounters.... Here's a sample (although many of the scanned copies are not the signed version.)
