Moments after the Big WIN!!

(Even my Yankee fan husband was happy for me and provided the champagne!)

Although my love of the Sox CANNOT COME CLOSE  to my PASSION for the Patriots (can anything??!) ....I've actually been a Sox fan since as long as I can remember.  Even as a young kid in the 60's and early 70's I would watch the games with my Dad and listen to them on the radio while playing ball in the street with the boys (but just until the street lights came on don'tcha know!) .  Of course, spending summers at McCoy with the Pawsox helped to foster my love of the game as well.  While I won't call off all plans to watch a game (like I do for  football) I always have them on in the background whenever they play.  Of course, going to FENWAY is something that I love to do... just the smell as I near the park puts a smile on my face.  The smells,  sights, and sounds of Boston bring me back to my youth and the days of Yaz, Dewey, El Tiante, Lynn, Rice and Pudge...   BUT, it's a new era... OUR TIME HAS COME... GO SOX! (Nice prediction, huh?!)

 HOT NEWS:

Home opener:  4/11 vs. Yankees!

Did our beloved Coach Belichick inspire the Sox?

They certainly adopted the One Game at a Time philosophy of the Patriots and look what happened!!!

RED & BLUE !!!!

One of Boston's most treasured landmarks is the flashing weather beacon that sits atop the old John Hancock Tower, now the Berkeley Building. The tower began forecasting the weather, using predictions from a meteorological company on the 26th floor, in 1950. Its predictions inspired a poem:

Steady blue, clear view
Flashing blue, clouds due
Steady red, rain ahead
Flashing red, snow instead.
Flashing blue and red, when the Curse of the Bambino is dead!
